Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Senior Specialist of Mergers & Acquisitions to join our top Insurance Brokerage client's Mergers & Acquisitions team within their Benefit Services division. The Mergers & Acquisitions Specialist Senior is primarily focused on developing and managing the merger and acquisition activities of the organization, under direction of M&A Leadership. They assist in the valuation of acquisition targets, conduct due diligence, negotiate deals, and integrate acquired companies into the organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Manages and delivers M&A transactions of moderate to high complexity, with a strong degree of independence.

2. Collaborate with legal, finance, and other teams to draft and review legal agreements. Assist with negotiations with certain target companies, including deal structuring, pricing, and terms.



3. Identify important risks, opportunities, and integration challenges associated with each transaction.

4. Collaborate across various functional areas on M&A transactions at all stages from initial introduction through integration planning and closing.

5. Coordinate the integration/migration of acquisitions into AJG's centralized accounting and finance processes within the established timeframes.



6. Communication and interaction with key Gallagher stakeholders (i.e., members of the ELC and GOC, Area Presidents, etc.), external advisors, including investment bankers, legal counsel, and other third-parties.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

4-7 years of related accounting experience including pricing, due diligence, PNL statement, balance sheet, analyzing financial statements, etc.

1-2+ years in a senior role

Advanced Excel skills (HLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, conditional logic functions, financial functions)

Willing to travel 2-3 days/month (varies, could be less)

Excellent communication and client relationship management skills

Ability to multi-task and work on multiple clients at a time

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

CPA

Additional Degrees

Public Accounting experience, ideally Audit

Transaction Accounting services experience (M&A)

Insurance or insurance brokerage industry experience (especially with employee benefits)
