The UW Medicine Montlake Campus has an opportunity for a Nurse Manager, Cardiothoracic ICU .

WORK SCHEDULE
Full time, day shift.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
  • Function as a liaison between patients, physicians and other healthcare providers
  • Provides leadership and coordination for the Cardiothoracic ICU
  • Guides and directs the activities of the Staff Nurses, Assistant Managers, Patient Care Technicians and support staff in the designated unit.

    DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    The Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit is a 24 bed unit.  Patient population includes cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, vascular, heart and lung transplants, MCS, VV, ECLS, and TAVR.

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides Human Resources support hiring staff, development of performance standards
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service that ensures patients and family members are attended to in a professional manner.
  • Supports hospital mission and objectives
  • Monitors high standards/care practice by team

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Masters degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or related field, or enrolled in a Master’s program.  At least two years formal supervisory leadership experience in ICU services preferably cardiothoracic, cardiac ICU. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.
  • BLS certification
