General Job Description:

This is staff engineering work serving as the primary expert within a specific engineering discipline for a departmental program with a significant engineering staff or serving as the sole engineering resource for a department with no other engineering personnel.

The Requirements are as follows:

ANTICIPATED ELIGIBILITY
Candidates who meet all eligibility requirements within 3 months of the application deadline (by August 3, 2024) will be admitted to this examination. Successful candidates will be placed on the eligible list but may not be hired or promoted until all requirements have been satisfied.

MECHANICAL SPECIALTY

1. EDUCATION: Completion of a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college or university, with major coursework in mechanical engineering.

AND

2. EXPERIENCE: Four years of engineering experience in the area of mechanical engineering, two years of which shall have been at the full performance level.
