We are seeking a talented and experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire alarm system layouts, codes, and regulations. They will be responsible for designing comprehensive fire alarm systems tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients while ensuring compliance with local, state, and national codes. This role contributes to the design and implementation of cutting-edge fire alarm systems that protect lives and property. - Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Conduct site surveys to assess existing conditions and determine the optimal placement of fire alarm devices and components.
- Design fire alarm system layouts using industry-standard software and tools, ensuring adherence to applicable codes and regulations.
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for the installation of fire alarm systems.
- Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to integrate fire alarm systems seamlessly into building designs.
- Stay updated on advancements in fire alarm technology, codes, and standards to ensure designs are innovative, efficient, and compliant.
- Provide technical support and guidance to installation teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with regulatory authorities and inspectors to obtain necessary permits and approvals for fire alarm system installations.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire alarm system design and layout.
- Relevant certifications such as NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) Fire Alarm Systems Level III or higher is preferred.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant fire alarm codes and standards, including NFPA, IBC, and local building codes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
