Role Value Proposition:

This role sits within the Global Enterprise Platform, Martech department and is essential to supporting program governance and performance as we develop a centralized Marketing Data Platform to provide marketers with access to curated data needed for exploratory analysis, sophisticated/automated cross-channel activation, and advanced analytics. This individual will report within our Marketing Data Enablement team, and collaborate with key stakeholders on the Marketing Team, Martech, and Data teams within the Global Technology Organization to ensure that the Marketing Data Platform enables key business drivers.

 

With prior experience working with customer data and data derived from Marketing Technologies, Adobe Analytics, global CRM software, and multi-channel marketing media, the Marketing Data Enablement Lead is responsible for closely partnering with Marketing teams to understand needs and DnA and technical teams to deliver solutions that meet those needs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

The Marketing Data Enablement Lead is responsible for fulfilling the data needs of the Marketing team, enabling the creation of and access to timely and accurate data for marketing campaigns, reports, and analytics by:

  • Partnering with Marketing and Analytics stakeholders to understand business and marketing objectives, customer journeys, measurement plans, and data needs and clearly communicate these in the form of formalized requirements for technical development partners within the Marketing Data Enablement Team.  
  • Leading discovery efforts, along with DnA and MarTech colleagues to identify the best source(s) of required data and any critical gaps
  • Overseeing the creation and maintenance of data dictionaries for all Martech sourced data within the Marketing Data Environment to become a subject matter expert on MetLife marketing data including (customer, Marketing generated, 3rd party)
  • Participating in UAT and audits as appropriate to ensure business requirements are met
  • Monitoring data quality and identifying opportunities to improve data quality / close data gaps
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure compliance with privacy regulations and MetLife policies.
  • Providing data, technology, and systems thought leadership to improve processes, drive efficiencies, and recommend new and innovative data sources

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • 5-8 years of professional experience in marketing technology, operations, and or analytic roles within a data-driven marketing organization
  • 2-3 years of experience supporting cross-channel B2B2C marketing planning, activation, and measurement
  • 2-3 years of experience working with marketing databases, familiarity with SQL (MySQL, SQL Server) and relational database concepts
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI), data warehousing, data pipelines, and marketing automation platforms
  • Experience with common MarTech and CRM platforms such as AEM, ACM, Adobe Analytics, Adobe CJA, Marketo, and Salesforce and familiarity with how these systems work together and the data they capture/generate
  • Excellent project management skills and commitment to deadlines, processes, and policies  
  • Adept at data presentation using dashboards, Excel, and PowerPoint  
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to take a consultative approach when working cross-functionally  

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with Azure data lake and big data platforms  
  • Experience/familiarity with marketing automation/journey orchestration tools and platforms (ie CDP)
  • Experience using 3rd party data sources to enrich customer/prospect data for marketing and marketing analytics
  • Experience working in an Agile Delivery Model within a highly matrixed organization
  • B2B / Account Based Marketing experience

The salary range for applicants for this position is $100,000 to $120,000.
