Position Summary

Engineering Intern will support Manufacturing Engineering and Continuous Improvement by performing preliminary research, data analysis and testing intended to better define process improvement opportunities to meet corporate initiatives and to support compliance requirements.
Key Internship Information:
Duration: May 20th-August 9th
Location: Plymouth, MN (onsite)
Paid Internship

Duties

Collect and analyze data.
Help implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and quality.
Organize and document testing and product development process.
Work as a collaborative team member in engineering projects
Interface with cross-functional teams
Communicate and present testing results and milestones (Microsoft Office Tools/Excel/PowerPoint/etc.)
Assist in efforts associated with Installation Qualifications, Operational Qualifications and Process Qualifications.
Assist in getting cycle time data and analysis and articulate process improvement recommendations, both written and verbally.
Literature/web research
Asistin Lean tools and principles including set-up reduction, standard work, value stream mapping, A3 problem solving.
Safety sensitive position

Education + Skills

Pursuingbachelor's program inMechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering. Sophomore year requirements must be completed by May 2024.
Organizational, communication, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to collect & analyze data.
Demonstrates understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.5S, standard work, process flow and value stream mapping
Computer skills: proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
