This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.What you will do:The Category Shopper Insights Lead is responsible for driving category and shopper strategies with Target that result in market leading category growth and joint value creation. This individual will be responsible for translating these into category growth driving executions both instore and online. This person will serve as the primary category resource for multiple stakeholders within the Target Category Management Team on OMNI Shopper Insights and with the customer including (but not limited to) Category Managers/Buyers and POG Development. This person should be strategic and future-focused around OMNI analytics, Shopper Insights, Macro/Global Trends, Marketplace, Digital/Tech Solutions, Shelf Merchandising and Design while understanding Target Business Processes. This individual should be able to develop Shopper Learning Plans, project manage with Agencies, and navigate within key shopper insights and category systems such as VIQ, NIQ and Numerator. This individual will have a key role in the line-review processes across advisorships and for being the Category / Shopper subject matter expert across the team. A key part of this role will be helping to shape the 3 year strategic roadmap for our Category Management approach and elevating JBP with Target, while ensuring that Category and Kenvue Brand Objectives are clearly defined. This person will work in a matrix environment and should have strong direct and indirect people management skills and be a servant leader. This person should be able to operate in a high level fast paced, complex, and changing business environment with good project management skills.Key Responsibilities:Serve as a core member of the Category Team with OMNI Shopper Insights responsibilities across Category AdvisorshipsProvide unbiased strategic and tactical insights and recommendations to Catman Team / Target buyers on Shopper Navigation and Signage, OMNI Digital Shelf, Shelving, and Merchandising / test and learn opportunities to improve category performance.Provide superior support and thought leadership to Merchandising during category reviews and through strategic longer-term planning.Uncover business opportunities with deep-dive analytics using a variety of resources including, but not limited to: Vendor IQ, Numerator, IRI TCN, Syndicated Data, Marketplace & HH Panel Assessments.Collaborating with teams of managers and/or analysts, working cross-functionally and in a matrix environment.Work with internal Shopper/Category partners on research opportunities: develop learning plans, provide voice-of-customer, facilitate research projects, and activate findings to be customer-specific.Work across the team on Category Strategy Development including growth plans across shopper segments, macro/global shopper insights, Regional/Demographic Opportunities and Marketplace Gaps.Provide thought-leadership & support across Kenvue for line reviews, JBP Meetings, Shopper Insights and non-advisorship categoriesLead and facilitate projects with agency partnersLead and develop team members to ensure they have appropriate development and training plans, while building expertise in OMNI Shopper Insights across full Category TeamDevelop, leverage, and share best-practices to enhance the entire category management team.QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferredMinimum of 5 years of proven experience in CPG industry - shopper insights, customer & category insights, shopper research and/or category management for consumer or relevant business experience is requiredDeep analytical expertise and experience working with syndicated data, panel data, shopper-card data, and other research requiredExperience in Market Research, including quantitative and qualitative methodologiesExtensive knowledge of omni retail customer store operations, structure, strategy, and retail execution tactics required.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships required.Strong digital literacy, including advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite and database management with an ability to draw accurate conclusions is requiredMust have the ability to understand and interpret shopper and category insights research and a strong understanding of...Equal Opportunity Employer - minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity
