Job Description

 
Journey Level Machinist Responsible for set up and operation of all shop equipment. This job requires working independently with minimal assistance and or supervision. The position creates and establishes methods and procedures, and selects the tooling required for the production of assigned tasks. The Journey Level Machinist is responsible for part quality and production levels, and provides first piece inspection for other machinists when required. Duties: Set up lathes, mills, drills, cut off saw, cranes, and material handling equipment. Strictly adhere to IMC established Quality Assurance Program. Train and supervise lesser skilled employees and trainees. Daily lubrication of machines. Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion. Must possess extended knowledge and proficiency in use of a broad range of measuring and inspection tools. Proficient in reading blue prints. Candidate must pass a reference/security check, and an employment test. Must own basic machinist tools. Willing to work overtime hours as necessary. This position is eligible for Paid Time Off.
