
In conjunction with the Interdisciplinary Team/ Director of Behavioral Services works to assure that the mental health and behavioral needs of the individuals we serve are addressed.
POSITION DUTIES:
1. Complete assessments on individuals, as assigned.
2. Write up reports, based on assessments completed and share same with relevant team members.
3. Provide direct counseling / education to individuals assessed, as needed / directed
4. Provide staff training, as needed / directed with regard to assessments completed and related recommendation implementation.
5. Makes referrals for psychiatric care and/or other psychological evaluations and counseling services, as indicated.
6. Participates in meetings, as requested.
7. Performs assessments, including, but not limited to psychological evaluations and evaluations of
adaptive living skills.
8. Demonstrates an ability to work effectively with the individuals we serve. Provides supportive
counseling as indicated. Submits report for review to the Director of Behavioral Services.
C. REQUIREMENTS:
1. Appropriate training in Psychological Assessment, Master’s Level or above.
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in providing cognitive and adaptive functioning assessment to people with IDD.
3. Strong oral and written communication skills.
4. Adheres to agency policies and procedures, including, but not limited to Corporate Compliance, Cultural Sensitivity and Sexual Harassment.
5. Performs all job responsibilities in full compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Adheres to the agency's corporate compliance
