Shipping and Receiving Supervisor
Job Description:

The Role:
Entegris is currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to join our dynamic team at our Chaska, MN manufacturing site!
The Outer Loop Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for all processing aspects of shipping, receiving, dock, putaway, drumline, and other dock movements in the outer loop areas. This position also includes activities supporting our Chaska production operations facility and staffing to support a complex set of products across a 7x24 operation.
The core work hours for this position is Monday-Friday days
What You'll Do:
Leadership
* Leads all hourly associates that report directly to the outer loop supervisor.
* Forecasts ongoing staffing needs and establishes staffing plan for growth.
* Ensures staff members are trained and following procedures.
* Maintains a high level of safety and housekeeping awareness in the general warehouse environment.
* Communicates in various meetings such as metrics, tier boards, and warehouse leadership meetings.
* Promotes stand downs as deemed necessary when near misses or quality issues arise.
Warehouse Organization
* Ensures that all parties along the supply chain are prepared to ship and receive their materials at the appointed date and time for both internal and external customers.
* Establishes optimal use of existing pallet racking and provides recommendations for layout improvement.
* Establishes contingency plans based on likely changes and the best information possible in forecasting obstacles but is always prepared to adjust if conditions shift.
* Implements and revises warehouse management procedures for all aspects of the warehouse.
* Establish KPI’s and manage team to meet metrics, providing appropriate reporting around KPI’s.
* Track relevant KPI’s and metrics with focus on identifying efficiencie.s
* Provides direction of the flow of trucks to maximize space.
Inventory Management
* Works with the inventory team to sustain world class inventory accuracies.
* Ensures that all A & B inventory is counted before going into a location.
* Confirms compliance by following procedures and with maintaining appropriate records for moving product and labeling finished goods cases per customer requirements.
* Communicates with the inventory team when discrepancies are found in inbound shipments.
Freight Management:
* Manage inbound and outbound shipments both domestic and international to customers, vendors and 3PL partners.
* Analyzes logistical problems and provides and/or recommends solutions.
* Coordinates with carriers for the shipping of materials and goods, including understanding the carrier’s capabilities.
* Organizes dock doors and trailers to keep a steady flow of materials on the dock.
What We Seek:
* 7+ years warehouse and distribution management experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting and with SAP systems
* At least 2 years of people management experience
* Bachelor’s degree in an area focused on developing highly analytical skills and/or business principles preferred.
* Ability to analyze data for managing inventory levels and processes.
* Ability to communicate well with internal and external customers.
* Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a high energy, fast paced environment.
* Ability to develop and follow processes.
* Ability to problem solve quickly and with confidence.
* Satisfaction in seeing and fixing errors with a focus on doing things right the first time.
* Cost effectiveness and operations budgeting work experience.
* Ability to drive change through influence and building strong cross-functional partnerships.
* Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management
* Ability to delegate when assigning employee workloads.
