UW Medicine Finance has an outstanding opportunity for a fixed duration, part-time, day shift, FINANCE PROJECT INTERN .

WORK SCHEDULE 
  • 40 hours per week (during summer months)
  • 20 hours per week (during school, if interested in continuing during)
  • Hybrid, Fixed Duration Day Shift

    DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    The Finance Project Intern will provide project analyst services to the UW Medicine Finance & Accounting UWFT project. The UW Medicine Finance & Accounting UWFT project team is responsible for testing reports and end to end process areas, assisting with beginning balances and other areas as assigned.

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Extracting and validating data from legacy systems to Workday under the direction of UW Medicine Director or Manager
  • Other duties as assigned


  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • In the process of obtaining either a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting or Health Care Management Experience in a finance organization, performing analysis or implementing quality and/or process improvement projects.
  • Strong leadership skills, high interpersonal skills, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to efficiently prioritize and ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated data collection and analytical skills.
  • Experience and proficiency in using Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.
