Senior Full Stack Development Engineer
The opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build innovative and user-friendly experiences to power the next generation of customer experience management as part of the Adobe Experience Platform organization. Adobe was recently named a market leader in the 2021 Forrester Wave for Digital Experience Platforms with AEP receiving the highest scores in 19 criteria!
As a key senior member of our development team, you will develop on multiple programming platforms and solutions you will participate in strategy sessions, mentor junior members of the team, facilitate code reviews and help define and establish relevant practices and patterns to increase the consistency of the code across the team and be able to refactor complex and unreliable areas of the code to increase simplicity and long-term maintainability.
Your work will have a direct and lasting impact on the fundamental architecture of the product, and you will be responsible for system design, code release and troubleshooting issues of highly complex code. Working with Product Managers, Data Engineers & Architects, Software Engineers, Marketers and the Adobe Experience Design team you will architect, design, and craft exceptional user experiences for our customers.

What you'll do
As a member of this team's senior engineering group, you will be required to drive and implement a variety of new groundbreaking, business-critical projects that require fast, slick, and extendable experiences using JavaScript, React, Node.js, GraphQL and Adobe's open source React Spectrum library
Responsible for the technical quality of the projects handed to the team, guiding junior members, and assisting senior team members in driving architectural and feature goals
Develop and exercise your leadership abilities with the team to promote a best-in-class Developer Experience to create CI/CD focused end-to-end products
What you need to succeed
Considered by your peers to be the go-to excellent Full Stack Engineer with 8+ years of experience building highly performant, elegant, and useful front-end solutions
Pro-level skills in React with a thorough understanding of its core principle
An immensely positive attitude and can handle many different tasks - conflicting priorities don't scare you and you feel comfortable communicating needs to the Product and Design teams
A track-record of building consensus among Product Managers, Designers, and various other engineering teams all while advocating for high quality and engineering efficiency
Comfortable in leading R&D / prototyping projects and technical discussion
Proactively share the technical vision and design principles with the rest of the team as new projects come to fruition
Mentoring junior and mid-level engineers and aren't afraid to have other peer engineers in your spheres of influence feel your direction and opinion
Proficient in writing and maintaining tests and know when to say when
Encourage code reviews with constructive feedback and desire to provide them in return
Good to have experience in these areas
Designing & implementing APIs (REST, gRPC or GraphQL)
NGINX reverse proxy
Microsoft Azure or similar AWS services
Node/NPM/Yarn/Whatevercame out yesterday
Testing tools/languages (Mocha, Webdriver, Selenium, Cypress.io)
MongoDB administration (DBA)
Localization and globalization development
Front-end build tools (Gulp, Grunt or similar)
(JavaScript) ECMAScript 2016+ syntax knowledge (Async/Await, Generators, etc.)
CSS via SCSS
Shell programming & task scheduling (automate all things!)
Functional programming style, applied category theory
CQRS/Actors/CPS/Category Theory/Functional Programming style on Server
Web Components & Functional Programming style on Client
Experience developing/integrating with Adobe solutions, including Experience Platform, Experience Manager, Analytics, Launch will be a bonus
Bonus points for open-source contributions
Experience sharing knowing with the larger tech community (Technical Talks, Blog Posts, conference papers)
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $154,000 -- $278,800 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
