Job Description

Position Summary:

Serve as the Principal Investigator and/or senior research lead on select projects; assume primary responsibility for the design and implementation of designated project activities. Supervise project staff and volunteers. Assist in designing and refining research protocols, policies and procedures.

 

Salary Range:  $51,700.00 - $82,500.00 Annually

Position Description:

  • Create and oversee procedures for maintaining complete and accurate documentation of all project tasks; track and assess status of tasks for each project, including managing budget
  • Lead data analysis and reporting; including preparation of final project reports
  • Collaborate with Director and Associate Director to identify, develop, and seek funding for projects of interest to the Agency
  • Provide technical assistance to service line staff as needed
  • Develop articles for publication in professional journals; lead or co-author writing
  • Represent agency at related professional conferences, seminars and symposiums
  • Maintain good relationships with internal and external customers, funders and colleagues
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced mathematics, research design and statistical analysis
  • Quantitative and qualitative research methods and statistical software
  • Multidisciplinary research and health assessments including vulnerable populations
  • Ability to gather, collate and classify information about data, persons or things
  • Assurance that all research practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements as well as agency policy, including appropriate documentation and follow-up for contract/grant requirements.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; high attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to interface with internal and external customers
  • Skill in supervising others while coaching and developing
  • Ability to resolve conflict in an open, effective and timely manner
  • Maintenance of appropriate boundaries with staff and clients

Job Requirements:

  • PhD or minimum All But Dissertation (ABD) in social science or health science field, plus relevant experience with research methodology and statistics
  • Working knowledge of statistical software preferred
  • Valid drivers license and current auto insurance

Essential Functions/Physical Demands:

  • Positional: Driving in accordance with job duties assigned. Infrequent standing and walking. Constant sitting.
  • Gross Mobility: Rare climbing, or crawling. Infrequent balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Frequent to constant reaching, handling and fingering.
  • Sensory: Rare tasting/smelling. Infrequent use of color vision. Occasional use of far visual acuity, depth perception, and field of vision. Frequent use of near and midrange visual acuity, and visual accommodation. Frequent to constant talking.
