Shift, Saturday - Tuesday 5:30 am- 4:45 pm
Summary of This Role
Utilizing machine specific software, sets up and operates one or more automatic machines used in the production of the company's product. Monitors work continually to verify accuracy dealing with sensitive individual personal data relating to TSYS's reputational integrity with clients. Responsible for the overall operation of potentially large -scale machinery including actions such as loading and feeding materials for processing, adjusting settings, performing minor repairs, continual product inspection and pulling finished product. Completes job tracking paperwork and enters into data bases. Works from process sheets or written/verbal instructions to perform production tasks. Verifies accuracy of results against standards.
What Part Will You Play?
Reviews materials (e.g., forms, inserts, envelopes, letters, etc.) required for basic production jobs as designated on proprietary software. Validates accuracy and loads materials into appropriate production machines for standard and specialized or complex card or document jobs requiring additional machine adjustments.
Performs job set up; reviews and assists others with the selection of processing options on machine specific software to process the designated job according to client specifications.
Demonstrates ability to initiate start up of more than 3 production machines in card or document processing and monitors work in process for quality.
Visually inspects completed work for adherence to client specifications and records for posterity in a quality data base. Communicates issues or concerns that may affect quality or efficiency to multiple stakeholders to assist with resolution. Analyzes quality data base for trends and escalates to leadership quality concerns and recommendations for appropriate corrective action.
Performs established processes to diagnose underperforming equipment and make mechanical, process or material adjustments as corrective measures while equipment is running. Contacts on-site vendors for major equipment issues. Performs preventive maintenance on multiple types (more than 2) of automated machines. Escalates major equipment issues to Leadership.
As directed by production control analysis, maintains the workflow of assigned machine to produce in synchronization with other processes/parts of the job, keeping pace with other team members to ensure steady workflow. Identifies potential production issues and escalates as necessary to Production Control, other team members, or Leadership and propose appropriate corrective action. Maintains situational awareness for Production Control at all times.
Reconciles inventory between completed, work in progress, and remaining inventory to ensure accountability.
Assists supervisor with on the job training of new team members.
What Are We Looking For in This Role?
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Typically Minimum 6+ Years Relevant Exp
Production/ manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's Degree
Prefer some technical or post high school
Typically Minimum 8+ Years Relevant Exp
2 years of Lean or 6 Sigma exposure; 2 years of some leadership responsibility

Job Complexity - Consistently works on complex assignments requiring some independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues. Makes recommendations for new procedures. Oversees a team and coordinates daily work covering multiple assignments.
Supervision - Determine methods and procedures on new assignments with some independence. Often acts as a facilitator for group. Is formal team leader.
Mechanical Aptitude - Understands the difference materials, temperatures job complexities have on equipment and their functionality
Computer Skills - Uses computer to figure their jobs and monitors other operators in their area
