Elma, NY. Steuben Foods. Robotic Palletizer Operator. FT. Benefits. $18.85/Hour. Education/Prerequisite Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Equipment/Training Knowledge: Strong Mechanical Aptitude. Quality Mindset. Ability to Understand and Control Robotic Equipment. Schedule: Variable scheduling based on production schedule. Responsibilities: Operate a console that controls automatic palletizing equipment to sort, transfer and stack pallets and containers of finished products. Operate a console that controls pallet labeling equipment. Read production and delivery schedules as well as stacking patterns to determine sorting and transfer procedures, arrangement of packages on pallet and destination of the loaded pallets. Observe packages moving along conveyor to identify packages and detect defective packaging. Utilize console buttons to deflect packages to predetermined accumulator or reject lines. Turn selector switch on palletizer to control stacking arrangement of packages on pallets and to transfer loaded pallet to storage or delivery platform. Supplies loading equipment with empty pallets and other materials. Stop equipment to clear jams. Inform supervisors of equipment malfunctions. Keep detailed record of production and equipment performance. Operate stretch wrapper equipment and assure stretch wrapping and corner boards. Make sure base sheets and/or slip sheet dispensing units are loaded. Assure that pallet dispensers are loaded with the correct pallet types. Any other duties as assigned.
