We are looking for:

  • Selected plants will be installing new digital tools to capture, manage, and query manufacturing data to improve plant analytics. This is a brand new position being created specifically for our digital journey.

We can count on you for:

  • Maintain plant automation software

  • Support and drive the vision for plant digital strategy

  • Act as Single Point of Contact on questions/ issues regarding process information software

  • Coach data teams in production sites during manufacturing improvement projects

  • Collaborate with data scientists, process and automation specialist to refine instrumentation and data as needed

  • Identify problems with the data sources (missing data, redundant data, incomplete data, etc.) and recommend solutions

  • Create scripts to deliver data with required quality/consistency and in the required format for advanced analytics models

  • Set up data quality, data availability and data consistency metrics to test the data and drive the testing process.

  • Actively contribute to the data community within the organization, sharing knowledge and best practices (e.g. through technical articles on MES software)

Mission:

  • Support the development and implementation of the automation scope for new projects and existing applications as a team member in the Process Control and Automation department.

  • Support the development and updates of the software for DCS, PLC, and HMI applications.

  • Collaborate with other departments in the execution of process control projects.

  • Support the development and deployment of data collection and reporting systems for process and production systems.

  • Support reliability improvements and ensure changes/modifications follow a documented management of the change process.

  • Maintain DCS systems hardware and provide technical troubleshooting and loop tuning support.

  • Partner with the Group IT functions to design, deploy, and troubleshoot issues related to manufacturing execution systems.

  • Develop and lead the deployment and maintenance of the GBU controls, cybersecurity of the process data network projects and systems.

  • Develop and lead the deployment of automation robotics projects and systems.

You Will Bring:

  • A bachelor degree in Engineering or Computer Science

  • Experience in at least one of the following: data collection, PLCs, HMIs, DCSs, software solutions, electrical & instrumentation

  • 3-5 Years experince required.

Global Automation:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, with a solid preference for Controls, Automation, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.

  • A Master's degree is a plus.

  • 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

  • 5 years of experience with process controls and process data management.

  • Experience working with and managing engineering and controls contractors.

  • Experience developing and deploying electrical controls and automation technologies in an industrial manufacturing environment.

You will get:

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $103,360 to $129,132. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
