Job Description
PeopleReady Skilled Trades Division is looking for a low voltage Electrician. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience with electrical knowledge and wiring. The ideal candidate must be able to pull old wiring in a commercial setting and run new wire. The individual must have the knowledge in performing testing, configuration, installation and intercommunications, and video surveillance systems. Apply today and START IMMEDIATELY!!!!
Note: The pay rate for this job is $28 - $35 / hour
Responsibilities:
-
Label and install cable per drawings & schedules and perform troubleshooting of low voltage computer
and electro-mechanical systems - Report on work performed, completing forms as applicable.
- Must be mechanically inclined, proprietary self-starter who is organized, results-oriented and has a track record of working efficiently and effectively with limited supervision.
- Must be able to climb ladders and at times work at significant heights
- Able to lift and carry objects short distances that weigh in excess of 50 lbs
- Must be able to pass standard background checks as may be required by our clients
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn, retain & use new information and work well in teams
- Able to see and identify colors as appropriate to the work performed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 year experience on commercial or residential construction sites
- Able to perform tests and use the results to diagnose problems - for example, when an outlet is not working, using a multimeter to check the voltage, amperage, or resistance to resolve the appropriate course of action, or, if a motor stop working, performing tests to settle the cause of its failure and then fixing or replacing the motor
- Must have tools of the trade and be able to bring them to jobsites
- Verifiable references to confirm your professional experience
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have reliable transportation
