Custodial Coordinator acts as a lead to regular custodial and student
staff. Overall management responsibility for designated buildings
includes supervision of building staff and discussing building needs
with building occupants. It also involves coordinating staff and
contractors\' services, assisting the Service Manager regarding service
calls, and lending support to staff in their assigned tasks. This is

culture of respect and inclusion. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Ensure
assigned buildings are clean. 2. Assist in the coordination and
supervision of major cleaning projects for assigned buildings. 3.
Regarding staffing of assigned buildings, function as needed in hiring
processes, performance evaluations of employees, and recommending and
implementing appropriate disciplinary action when needed. Schedule work.
Assist with staffing-related responsibilities in other buildings as
directed by Service Manager. 4. Assist in training of staff in
established procedures, chemical use and operation of equipment. Provide
ongoing training for staff to ensure their basic functional capabilities
and to support expanding their skill levels and scope . 5. Procure
supplies and equipment and maintain updated inventory. 6. Provide
written reports for daily assigned work, projects and service calls. 7.
Assist in providing custodial support in a supplementary or educational
manner. 8. Make quality control inspections to ensure high quality
Facilities Services performance. 9. Perform such tasks as furniture
moving, window washing, spot extermination of bugs and pests, snow
removal and disposing of non-hazardous lab wastes. 10. Open and secure
rooms, areas or key boxes as needed to provide services. 11. Operate and
maintain custodial equipment such as vacuum cleaners, wet/dry vacuums,
automatic scrubbers, shampoo machines and buffers. Arrange for equipment
repairs through the Service manager. 12. Meet with campus departments to
determine needs and services, as necessary. 13. Willingness and
availability to work weekends on occasion as needed (not anticipated to
be frequent \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities High school diploma or equivalent Valid
driver\'s license with satisfactory driving record 3+ years in related
employment requiring general knowledge of custodial services and
handling of non-hazardous wastes Experience in cleaning chemical usage
Experience in operation and maintenance of industrial custodial
equipment in carpet care and hard surfaced floor care Proven ability to
organize cleaning procedures, assign work and review job progress. EOE
