Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the telemetry department.
- Assume shift accountability for the coordination of patient flow and processes in collaboration with
nursing staff and other healthcare providers. - Train, coach, and evaluate associates on performance expectations.
- Participate in interviews and recommend employment decisions.
- Conduct performance audits (charts, safety, etc.) to ensure department activities and records are in adherence with various licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Maintains telemetry documentation and makes note of irregular rhythms and monitors changes in heartbeat.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted preferred.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific
experience required.
Additional Preferences
Previous experience with Telemetry and Supervisor experience preferred
