Overview

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

Responsible for secretarial and receptionist duties as assigned by the Director of Dewald Community Center

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.  

DCC reception desk responsibilities for programs

Processing of student applications

Compose letters, run reports, compose and mail promotional pieces

Answer telephones; take messages, and schedule appointments

Prepare spreadsheets, charts, and graphs

Record and track statistical data

Assist director in the oversight and training of volunteer DCC receptionists

Develop brochures and promotional pieces, including press releases

Volunteer scheduling and processing of volunteer applications

Perform miscellaneous tasks at the request of the Director of DCC and the Commanding Officers of The Salvation Army

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE 

Minimum High School Diploma

 

SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Excel, Word, and Publisher

Above average English grammar skills in both written and oral communication

Outstanding telephone techniques for communication with business and educational leaders in the community, donors and parents

Must be able to schedule and perform designated responsibilities with minimal supervision on a timely basis

Flexibility, friendliness and attention to detail is an absolute necessity

Work schedule flexibility

Required to maintain confidentiality of information gleaned from students, parents, clients and donors
