Job Description
Exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced medical team within a growing federally qualified community
health center. HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. The Heart of Our Community provides
comprehensive services including adult/pediatric medical care, health education, health assessment and
screenings, gynecology, cardiology, behavioral health, substance use treatment, and adult/pediatric
dental care. We are currently seeking a motivated, Full-Time (40 hours per week) Dental Patient Service
Rep.
Dental Patient Service Rep Summary
The Dental Patient Service Representative will facilitate efficient processes for reception, patient
registration and clerical services that support the operation of the dental center. This position is
responsible for the daily operation of registration for existing and new patients according to policies and
procedures; facilitate patient flow, patient information, co-payment collection, and insurance verification.
Schedule
Four 10-hour days 7:30 am 6:00 pm OR M-F 9:30am-6pm
Rotating Saturdays 8:30 am 1:00 pm
Required Qualifications
1. Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalency.
2. 1 year of Dental Assisting or Dental Registration experience required.
3. Basic computer skills required.
4. Must have excellent verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and
family members.
5. Ability to use multiple telephone lines.
6. Ensure patient and client satisfaction.
7. Must submit a CORI Release Form and demonstrate proof of being free from disqualifying
information.
8. Bi-lingual/Tri-lingual skills preferred.
9. Dentrix knowledge preferred.

attitude about the department and the health center, and offers services to ensure positive
experience.

3. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and time management skills to
effectively communicate with patients.

5. Works well under pressure to manage stressful situations.
6. Uses sound judgment and confidence.
7. Ability to multi- task.
8. Must be able to prioritize and stay organized.
9. Detail-oriented and accurate.
