Central MN Council on Aging is seeking a full-time Senior LinkAge Resource Specialist, (Monday-Friday, from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm). In this role you will provide telephone and/or in-person support for older adults and their caregivers inquiring about long-term care services and planning, housing options, caregiver support, Medicare, and other public benefits. The Resource Specialist will also provide educational classes and outreach presentations to community members and professionals such as Medicare 101, Fraud & Scams Prevention, and How the Senior LinkAge Line Can Help You.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide in-person assistance and outreach in Cass, Crow Wing, Morrison, Todd, and
Wadena counties.
• Provide phone assistance while answering inbound calls on the Senior LinkAge Line and in-person assistance to older adults and their families to evaluate their needs.
• Follow up after researching the formal and informal services available and provide objective help with decisions regarding accessing the options and connecting them with formal and informal service providers.
• Provide advocacy or referral on behalf of a caller if required to obtain needed services.
