Job Description:
The Division Financial Manager is Finance's point of contact for the Training Services Division. He/she will be responsible for delivering Orders, Revenue, EBIT and Cash in accordance with Business Plans for the Training Services Division. The successful candidate will be a highly analytical, self-starter and collaborative problem solver who is accustomed to the cadence of deadline driven public company. Manages direct reports. Strong communication skills are a requirement, both oral and written.
Essential Functions:
- Serves as the Finance point of contact for the assigned Businesses
- Interacts on a regular basis with Division executives, in a highly visible role
- Partners with Division executives to drive strategic planning and goals for the business
- Collaborates with peer leaders to identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency, quality and overall business results
- Advise of risks/opportunities to the business plans and drive action plans to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities
- Prepares Financial Statements to identify true Fixed versus Variable costs (Contribution Margin and Gross Margin)
- Prepares financial models when required to depict ‘what-if’ scenarios
- Coordinates with Accounting, Pricing and other Finance functions where required
- Coordinates with FP&A functions as conditions require to keep the short and long term forecast accurate and communicated timely
- Point of Contact for Capital Planning Allows for flexibility in the assigned SOW as business conditions change
- Works with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related and 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
- 5-7 years of financial planning and analysis experience participating on cross-functional team, driving initiatives in a key contributor/business partner role
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Prior experience in Aerospace
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems
- Use of Continuous Improvement tools and techniques
- Knowledge of Accounting rules and regulations
