POSITION SUMMARY:
The Regional Asset Manager at Dominium plays a pivotal role in optimizing the performance of a diverse multifamily portfolio, encompassing both market rate and affordable housing units, to maximize asset value. This entails evaluating and enhancing the physical, financial, and operational aspects of each property, fostering clear communication with stakeholders, and ensuring timely submission of reporting and deliverables. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, the role involves developing strategic business plans, conducting regular inspections, and driving performance improvements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Evaluates the physical, financial, and operational aspects of a diverse portfolio of multifamily communities consisting of luxury and affordable communities to maximize long-term value.
Develops partnerships with multiple stakeholders, departments, and third-parties through clear, intelligent, and routine communications. Ensure all reporting packages for limited partners, lenders, and others are prepared and submitted as required and in a timely manner.
Prepares action plans, reports, and other deliverables as requested by the Project Partner to address short, mid, and long-term performance issues in tandem with our performance system/meeting structure, leveraging financial, physical, and operational performance data.
Partners with Director of Asset Management to create business plans for each asset, partnering cross-functionally to ensure ownership goals are understood and met.
Inspects and reviews physical condition of each asset in your portfolio as scheduled, reporting results to key stakeholders and partnering with Property Management and Ownership to drive improvements (if needed).
Audits to ensure assets are effectively operated, and reporting and compliance requirements are met. Leverage acquired knowledge and experience to drive performance optimization for all assets, including new developments and acquisitions.
Meets and communciates regularly with Property Management, Project Partners, and other stakeholders as needed to drive portfolio performance and advance portfolio goals ensuring properties are meeting physical and operational standards.
Assists Property Management, Corporate Services, and Development departments as needed.
Creates, analyzes and evaluates reports, data, and other information to effectively monitor portfolio goals and performance and communicate performance to multiple stakeholders.
Participates in interdepartmental teams and committees.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
3 years experience in Multifamily Asset Management, preferably in Affordable Housing.
Advanced knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel and Outlook and Yardi experience is a plus.
Thorough knowledge of affordable housing industry a plus, including Section 42, Section 8, HOME, and other affordable programs
Advanced verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational and analytical skills.
Advanced mathematical and reasoning skills; and general accounting background preferred.
Ability to comprehend highly complex partnership structures, waterfalls, and distribution possibilities.
Must be able to synthesize and analyze qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources to draw conclusions.
