Required Skills:
* Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university in Architecture or related field.
* Professional expertise demonstrated through 15 years of progressive experience working with various project types.
* Demonstrated leadership experience in both technical and mentorship ability.
* Registered Architect required

Preferred Qualifications
* Construction Specifications Institute Certified Construction Specifier (CCS) is a plus.
* Current affiliation and/or membership of local, state, or national industry organization(s) is a plus.
* LEED® Accredited Professional is a plus.

Proficiencies
* Passion and ability to mentor individuals at varying levels of experience.
* Ability to communicate effectively and openly to all team members.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplined team.
* Comprehensive understanding of building science and its application in building envelope design.
* Excellent time management and organization skills. Ability to work across multiple teams simultaneously and produce results within deadline.
* Extensive knowledge of building systems and ability to advise in design solutions.
* Thorough working knowledge of current construction materials and methods.
* Proficiency with building/life safety codes and code analysis.
* Ability to interact positively with the staff of the architectural and engineering disciplines in a collaborative team environment.
* Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Utilize REVIT for reviewing current working models.

Responsibilities

* Provide technical expertise to project teams regarding building materials, detailing, code analysis, project documentation, construction administration, and other project-centric processes
* Coordinate quality review efforts beginning at project onset and continuing through completion as a part of the day-to-day design process for multi-disciplined teams.
* Develop additional quality review protocols to enhance existing procedures.
* Perform document reviews at key milestones, including inter-disciplinary coordination and constructability using Bluebeam Session.
* Participate in virtual reality sessions covering interdisciplinary coordination.
* Promote in-office discussions around ongoing construction activities aimed at fostering design team learning from built work.
* Create and maintain office-wide training and development for less experienced staff.
