Nursery Worker 
Seasonal Position 

Job Duties:

• Manually plant, cultivate, and harvest vegetables, fruits, nuts, horticultural specialties, and field crops.  
• Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, and knives.  
• Duties may include tilling soil and applying fertilizers; transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops; applying pesticides; or cleaning, grading, sorting, packing, unloading and loading harvested products.

Qualifications:

• 3 months experience working in agriculture
• Must possess ability to perform physical job duties outdoors in a variety of weather conditions for 8-10 hours per day.
• Must possess the ability lift/move 50 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 100 lbs on an occasional basis.
• Must be able to work with plants in a farm setting and work adjacent to or with nursery equipment, agricultural chemicals, and other related agricultural activities.

Schedule: 40 hours per week    

Number of overtime hours per week: 0-15

Hours per day: 8-10

            Hours:  7:00 am to 4:00 pm plus extended hours and Saturdays as needed

            Days:  Monday-Saturday
