Apple is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Retail Finance team supporting worldwide Financial Planning and Analysis. The Retail FP&A team serves as the hub for financial data and insights within Apple Retail. From product launches to global economic fluctuations and single store level performance, this team has the unique ability to drive and communicate results in all aspects of the business.
Description
Retail FP&A partners closely with the Retail Leadership team and other business and finance partners to manage the Apple Retail P&L. This role acts as a trusted leader who assists in a cross functional capacity to align financial and investment goals for Apple Retail worldwide. Additionally, the role serves a critical function connecting and communicating Apple Retail’s performance to the broader Apple Finance organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing to the Retail FP&A Team’s execution of monthly forecast, quarterly close, and annual planning processes including consolidation of historical revenue and costs, KPI analyses, and performance leadership communications.
- Developing strong Finance and non-Finance relationships to establish forecasts, analyze trends, identify opportunities, and drive quarter end close activities.
- Serving as the go-to expert for Apple Retail finance data, driving the optimization of financial data processes and governance frameworks in support of business objectives.
- Performing ad hoc analyses for Retail and Finance leadership to enable executive decisions.
- Leading continued innovation across all aspects of the role through cross-team collaboration and utilizing financial tools and data to enhance the quality and impact of insights.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of relevant finance experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, accounting or other related field

- 4-5+ years of relevant experience in Financial Planning and Analysis in a high performance and fast-growing organization
- Big picture thinking with inherent curiosity to connect dots, understand all facets of Apple / Apple Retail, and drive decision making
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with flawless attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate results and increase alignment
- Ability to partner cross-functionally at all levels of the organization
- Proven experience developing and improving processes, with desire to drive continuous improvement
- Strong prioritization skills - ability to independently manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment
- Strong knowledge of Excel and modeling skills. Shown ability to distill complex decisions into simple but comprehensive financial models
- Experience with presentation software (Keynote preferred), enterprise finance systems (Adaptive Insights preferred, SAP, Blackline), and data analytics tools (Excel, Tableau, etc.) required, SQL knowledge a plus
