(Note: DOL staff, please see Comments for instructions.) Position Summary Shuttle Drivers operate the Bronx Zoo shuttle to transport guests, ensuring that our guests enjoy a safe and fun experience. Schedule: Must be able to work 2-5 days per week including weekends and holidays. Schedule varies and is dependent on weather and guest attendance; schedule subject to change through the spring and summer. Occasional after-hours events. Hours: 10:00 am-5:00 pm on weekdays and 10:00 am-5:30pm on weekends, dependent on weather and guest attendance; schedule subject to change through the spring and summer. Responsibilities - Providing excellent service to guests, including maintaining general knowledge of park attractions and amenities, answering questions and finding ways to create a great guest experience, in accordance with WCS standards of guest service - Helping guests enter and exit shuttle with special attention to children, elderly, and disabled patrons - Maintaining order among guests waiting to enter shuttle and safely admitting the appropriate number of guests in a timely manner - Monitoring area and communicating with guests to ensure their safety - Maintaining cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas as instructed - Completing other assignments and helping others on the team as required Additional Responsibilities include: - Assisting with holiday, exhibit and events set up. Qualifications: - Minimum age of 18 years or older - Valid driver's license required - Customer service orientation - Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment - Ability to work outdoors remaining at assigned posts for long periods of time in a variety of weather conditions - Ability to frequently move objects weighing up to 50 pounds - Dependability and reliability Preferred Qualifications - Prior customer service experience - Previous Experience speaking in front of large groups or audiences Seasonal position with an immediate start date and expected end date of October 31, 2024.
