SUMMARY:
Lead and manage all maintenance activity and capital projects,
including budgeting, justification, planning, resource management,
spending control, establishment & implementation of preventive
maintenance, and successful execution of capital projects. Key
metrics will include safety, equipment uptime, equipment turnaround
time, plant efficiency, and cost reductions tied to maintenance
& capital projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Undergraduate degree in engineering, or technical field of study.

Minimum of five to seven years of progressive facilities
management experience, preferably in a unionized manufacturing facility.

Excellent communications (oral & written) and
interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated skills with PC office applications.

Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to interact with internal customers to solve problems
and promote new business & cost reduction opportunities.

Good judgment and the demonstrated ability to interact with
hourly employees, union representatives, co-workers and managers
at all levels of the organization, along with outside suppliers,
lawyers and consultants.

Strong mathematical skills and ability to apply mathematical
concepts to practical situations.

Strong reasoning skills and ability to analyze problems,
collect and interpret data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Excellent working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices,
Lean Manufacturing Techniques, and general management principles.

Demonstrated EHS leadership in a manufacturing environment,
with hands-on experience in the development, implementation and
continuous improvement of EHS programs and systems. Experience in
Federal, State and Local Environmental Compliance and reporting.

Completion or commitment to successful completion of
10-hour/30-hour OSHA Certification Programs, with eligibility to
be certified as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or a
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).

Ability to travel 0-5% of the time.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead and manage Plant’s Maintenance, Facilities and EHS functions.

Establish & manage applicable preventive and predictive
maintenance programs.
-
Responsible for Maintenance and Capital Project Engineering.
-
Develop and maintain critical equipment lists as they pertain
to promoting uptime and quality on the production lines.
-
Assist in developing process improvements on the production lines.
-
Responsible for New Technology in related fields.

Responsible for design, costing, purchasing, installation, and
training for projects and equipment within the plant.
-
Responsible for plant operations and reporting within Federal,
State and Local Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation.

Develop and implement training programs to ensure all workers
have current EHS knowledge.

Create and implement EHS practices, procedures, metrics,
systems and structures to align with the USDOL OSHA, US DEP and
similar regulations. Regularly reviews all location EHS programs
to ensure all programs operate consistent with documented practice.

Regularly conduct location EHS audits and assess the location
EHS Risks. Identify and implement changes to improve any risk,
improve facility EHS programs, increase the effectiveness of all
EHS programs and, where prudent, reduce cost.

Responsible for all location programs which measure and
monitor employee safety and health, i.e. Noise Level Monitoring,
Air Quality Testing, Respiratory Protection, etc.
