Job Description

MSI is a 30 year old technology, research, and consulting company that focuses on high-value rotating machinery in various industries. We have a 5000 sq. ft. facility in Albany NY, and a 7000 sq. ft. of offices in Whippany NJ. We are looking for a versatile technically oriented person who enjoys hands-on work in the field or in a test lab, as well as part-time design work sitting at a computer-aided design (CAD) workstation. The position will require occasional travel. If the candidate is intelligent and a hard worker, but without a college degree, they may possibly fill a role as a non-degreed technician, and therefore are still encouraged to apply. In addition to the test engineer role, we are also looking to fill a position for a technical sales person who understands the ways and the needs of the Dept. of Defense, with an office in either Albany or northern NJ. Our industries include hydropower, water/wastewater, nuclear and fossil power, chemical, and aerospace/defense. About 25% of our work is with the US DoD or DOE.
