Position:  Account Clerk 2 - Confidential

Full-Time: Minimum starting wage $15.20 per hour                 

Division:  Fiscal Unit

Ashland County DJFS is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team.

Primary Duties (non-exclusive):  Duties include: Posts, tracks and reports a variety of accounting transactions; makes necessary mathematical computations for posting and maintenance of records; tracks various accounts; analyzes, prepares processes and reconciles expense reports, prepares invoices, vouchers, and other related materials; gathers and compiles material for financial reports. 

Job Duties in order of Importance

Posts a variety of accounting transactions, Makes necessary mathematical computations for posting and maintenance of records; Analyzes, prepares and reconciles receipt and expense reports; Prepares, codes and processes invoices, vouchers, accounts, remittances, receipts and other related materials for daily pay-ins and expenditures.

30%
Processes or assists with payroll, billing, purchases, Random Moment Surveys and discal related tasks pertaining to the FCFC program as assigned; Performs or assists with the entry, writing and submittal of all fiscal reports through any necessary fiscal system/software such as CFIS, RMS, local fiscal, etc. (e.g. monthly and quarterly financial statements, year-end reports, draw requests, invoice/receipt entry); Assists in the development and coordination of fiscal and managerial accounting systems; Performs administrative duties (e.g. organizes meetings, preparing official letters and documents, assumes responsibility in supervisor's absence).

Procures, purchases, and maintains supplies and related inventories; Processes and disseminates supply or inventory requests; Performs procurement for various items as assigned.

Performs various position related clerical duties; Performs basic auditing/examining duties such as verifying balances, sorting and organizing materials or forms, maintaining revolving credit account receipts, securing and tracking gift or gas cards and receipts, reviewing agency contracts and sub-grant agreements for fiscal and process compliance.

Disseminates information to others; Prepares material for use in training; Responds to questions and assists in training of others; Other related fiscal or administrative duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
-  One year of experience as Account Clerk 1
-  Or completion of two years technical training in business management or similar field with an emphasis on accounting.  Also requires one year of experience in a position similar to an Account Clerk 1
-  Or two courses or twelve months experience in business mathematics, two courses or twelve months experience in accounting or bookkeeping, one course or six months experience in typing or keyboarding, one course or six months experience in office practices and procedures, and one court or six months experience in techniques of writing.  Also requires one year experience in a position similar to an Account Clerk 1.

Or education, training and/or experience in an amount equal to the Minimum Qualifications stated above.   

Additional Qualifications: Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition and subtraction and reading and writing common English vocabulary. Also requires completion of 2 years technical training in business management with an emphasis on accounting. Or education, training and/or experience in an amount equal to the Minimum Qualifications stated above.
