About Cognizant's Digital Engineering Practice:

At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small cross functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently. Small, nimble engineering teams generate collective empathy and comradery, thus increasing their ability to anticipate unforeseen development scope changes and maintain high quality deliverables. Across our US Studio system or within client development sites, our Digital Engineering teams ideate and develop innovative cloud-based solutions following a Lean-Agile process with DevOps culture. Working in Cognizant Digital Engineering provides DevOps engineers consistent opportunities to push digital boundaries while growing their exposure to transformational technologies.

Job summary Architectural decision making - this will impact the Cognizant team and the other customer teams in the portfolio. Design decisions and helping Team to adhere to it - reviews to be done to ensure alignment.

Work Authorization

Location: Columbus - OH
Roles & Responsibilities:

Working closely with customer IT team for design decision making and KT calls
Collaboration with other teams in the portfolio for integration points / APIs
Participate in sprint planning, estimation, daily stand-up calls, retrospection, and all other agile ceremonies.
Testing support, code promotion and UAT support
Helping team fix day-to-day integration issues with other applications.
Participate on behalf of Cognizant team in scrum of scrum meetings and resolve dependencies.
Formulate code check-in policies in enterprise GIT. Recommend appropriate Tools / accelerators for the team.

Required qualifications:

Good Communication skills
Mobile Application Design and development in Flutter, Java 8+, Spring Boot 2+ & AWS Cloud, Code Deployment
Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle.
Proven ability to tackle complex business and development problems.
Ability to thrive in a team environment.
The ideal candidate will have the following characteristics:
Ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of software development principles and coding standard processes.
Full stack development experience
Knowledgeable in front-end web development technologies and techniques
Java, Spring Boot and Angular development
DevOps & Cloud- Apigee, AWS (Rancher/ Kubernetes), GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Harness, CI/CD Pipeline
Technology depth and experience with designing, building, and supporting APIs.
Passion and ability to coach and mentor junior developers.
Ability to coordinate with internal and external team members to help drive the best technical direction and decision making.
Drives cross-collaboration and execution of projects across multiple teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Strong communication, people interaction, and self-leadership skills
Thought leadership with strong ability to influence and lead continuous improvement.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $99K - $146K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
