As a PRN Chaplain, you will be responsible for providing on-call chaplain coverage at Fairview Hospital. When called in or scheduled, you will provide spiritual care to patients, families and caregivers fostering spiritual resources for healing. Spiritual care is a component of healing, so meeting others where they are and helping them in the midst of troubled waters is a vital part of the Chaplain’s role. In order to interview for this position, you need to have completed at least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). Â

As a PRN Chaplain, you will serve patients’ needs, touch lives and make lifelong impacts. All Chaplains are encouraged in their professional development within the department and are given opportunities to advance when certifications are completed. Â

Responsibilities:
- On-call chaplain coverage during nights and weekends.
- Spiritual care for patients, families and employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Master's of Divinity or equivalent.
- At least one unit of Accredited Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE).
- Endorsement or recommendation by faith group is preferred.
Certifications:
- None required.
Complexity of Work:
- Counseling and support for all faith groups, ages and conditions.
- Crisis and on-going care.
Work Experience:
- One year employment or volunteer experience in ministry.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Must have normal or correctable vision and hearing to be able to hear normal conversations.
