Come join the HR team at Tennant Company!As an HRBP for Tennant's North America Sales and Service Business Unit (NABU),you will support our North America Service Business. In this hybrid role, you will support North American-based employees and leadership teams by providing guidance and counsel on employee relations, performance management, training, and HR compliance. This role will closely partner with HR colleagues to ensure consistent coverage and support acrossNABU.If you are a self-starter, who collaborates well to build relationships, add value and elevate the HR value add, then this is the role for you.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop a high level of business knowledge and a strong partnership with employees and managers.
Supports US and Canada employees
Provide strong customer service regarding employee-related matters.
Manage employee relations proactively by recommending employee relations practices to establish and maintain a positive employer-employee relationship.
Coach and develop managers to lead high-performing teams and grow our people.
Partner with Talent Acquisition on staffing efforts to attract and onboard top talent while using the most efficient and economical processes. Advise leaders on workforce planning best practices and hiring decision to ensure acquisition of top talent
In partnership with the HR Manager, facilitate the annual performance management process to include goal setting, mid-year check-ins, annual appraisals, and compensation planning.
Support the organization on employee development to include training, development plans, and career pathing.
Partner with Compensation to ensure market competitiveness.
Facilitate timely communication to the organization regarding organizational changes, staff changes, and other important topics. Track headcount moves.
Frequently run and analyze reports to support business decisions and track changes.
Support DE&I activities.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
Minimum 3 years of Human Resources Generalist experience; preference for 5+ years
Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence.
Exposure to some or all of the main HR disciplines including talent acquisition, performance management, organizational development, compensation, benefits, HRIS, and employee relations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
PHR or SPHR preferred.
Business acumen, ability to build strong relationships with internal customers
Knowledge and understanding of Federal, State, and Local legislation regarding employment and labor laws. Preferred experience working with CA and Canada.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and comfortable in ambiguity.
Ability to handle sensitive information
