We are looking for:

The Instrumentation & Electrical Engineer provides instrumentation and electrical engineering services, including design, estimating, reporting, cost control to implement projects, system troubleshooting, and support day-to-day maintenance activities.

We count on you for:

  • Adhere to all plant HSE standards, policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Promote the utilization of instrumentation and automation technology to increase the overall equipment effectiveness, increase production unit performance, reduce maintenance activities, and lower overall total maintenance costs.
  • Assist maintenance technicians and production with troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Work with the process control engineers, process engineers and production team members to identify and implement new instrumentation and control strategies in increase product yields, reduce energy usage and optimize the value of products.
  • Responsible for project cost estimates and coordinating project design and installation activities.
  • Communicate changes in standards (NEC, OSHA, IEEE, etc.) that effect plant practices and equipment.
  • Provide specifications and support for process instrumentation, control wiring, heat trace systems, switchgear, motors, starters, lighting, generators, VSD’s, MCCs, UPS systems, and fire alarm systems.
  • Focus on creating and maintaining accurate and up to date design drawings and instrumentation specifications.
  • Participates, leads and provides support to HAZOP Team studies.
  • Responsible for supervising work of contractors.
  • Ability to travel 2-3 days per week during the first year.

You will bring:

  • B.S. Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment specifically with application, implementation and troubleshooting field instrumentation
  • Medium and High voltage distribution system maintenance
  • Experience with NFPA 70E work practices and ARC Flash methodology

  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $103,360 to $140,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
