The Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity available for an Associate Trainer to join our Cardiac Rhythm Management division in our Sylmar, CA location. This is a fully onsite role.   

As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE 

  • Working under direct supervision, provides education support to the Technical Service staff.  Provides training to department for new hires, progression training, product launches, and field corrective actions.  
  • Identifies and routinely uses the most effective, cost efficient and best business practices to execute processes; continually evaluates their effectiveness and appropriateness. Exercise judgement in planning, organizing and performing work; monitors performance and provides solutions for performance improvement.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Trains Technical Service departments for new hire training, new product launches, field actions, and competency training. 
  • Assists in development and training of Technical Insights, Remote Care Updates and other training documents distributed internally and externally. 
  • Facilitates training for "Train-the-trainers, SMEs and disseminates training resources to primary trainers 
  • Provides input to department SOP, DWIs, process protocols, and customer scripting as needed 
  • Helps communicate CAPA and other quality messaging to teams 
  • Maintains working knowledge of Massdam, Call log or other documentations systems or tools 
  • Remains current on developments in field(s) of expertise, regulatory requirements, and a general knowledge of company and competitor products, markets, and objectives as well as industry trends. 
  • Assists Sales with product demonstrations to visiting physicians and sales personnel. 
  • Remains current on developments in field(s) of expertise, regulatory requirements, and a general knowledge of company and competitor products, markets, and objectives as well as industry trends. 
  • Resolves and/or facilitates resolution of problems including identifying causes to prevent re-occurrence. 
  • Performs related functions and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned. 
  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.  Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors. 

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree - Biology or Life Sciences or a technical field is desired.  
  • 1-2 years’ experience in pacing industry
  • Must have demonstrated written and verbal communication, interpersonal, presentation, analytical, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work effectively with engineers, technical specialists, Remote Care operations, projects teams and peers to achieve assigned goals; must be capable of coordinating multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively.
  • Must possess demonstrated personal computer skills (experience with Microsoft Office or equivalent required) in graphics, word-processing, databases, authoring programs, etc., to develop presentation materials.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.

The base pay for this position is $72,100.00 – $114,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
