Actalent Manufacturing Engineer in Eden Prairie, Minnesota
Description:
Production support, continuous improvement/process improvement.
Writing work instructions/manufacturing documentation.
Problem solving and working cross functionally with engineering teams for the assembly of products.
Lean Manufacturing principles (Lean is preferred but open to Six Sigma)
Redesign or design of fixtures for assembly/manufacturing using SolidWorks
Understanding 3D designs/models for manufacturing
Must Haves:
Experience in building electro-mechanical products
Refining, continuous improvement, making things better, getting things from 90%-100% done
Lean manufacturing
Experience working with Manufacturing processes
Fixture design during production using Solidworks
Core Responsibilities -
-Production hours are 6-230
-person would be here over that period of time
-production support, solving problems and getting things done, getting things done
-assembly type of environment (production floor with a lot of racks, assembly of this bracket to that bracket), writing work instructions and documentation
-they have sub assembly areas that are built at benches - moving from station to station
-this printer is the size of 6 refrigerators stuck together
-this is the highest tech 3d printer ever designed and going into manufacturing and selling, it is a big hit of their customers and it is a very key role

Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline
Background in hands on electro-mechanical assembly or working with electro-mechanical components
Any industry – med device, industrial/capital equipment
Additive Manufacturing (nice to have)
