The Career Advisor collaborates closely with trainees, offering comprehensive support and career counseling while actively engaging with employers to facilitate connections and secure employment opportunities for trainees.Responsibilities: Cultivate and sustain favorable relationships with employers, industry associations, and government entities to effectively pinpoint job openings across the community, ensuring that employers see the organization as a trusted partner in their recruitment and hiring processes. Develop pipelines to employment such as internships, apprenticeships, and full-time positions with technology companies locally, across New York State, and beyond. Expand outreach efforts within the community by actively participating in a spectrum of associations and professional networks as well as events. Monitor reputable online platforms, local publications, and statewide business journals to stay abreast of new employers.Serve as the point of contact for the Board of Directors' Employer Committee, contributing expertise and insights to enhance employer engagement strategies.Collaborate closely with trainees to assess their skills, career goals, and job preferences, ensuring alignment with available employment opportunities.Coordinate and facilitate job fairs, networking events, and employer presentations to showcase trainee talents and foster direct connections between trainees and prospective employers.Establish and maintain comprehensive records documenting each trainee's training progress, placement outcomes, and interview results.Regularly analyze and interpret data trends to discern patterns and insights regarding trainee placements and interview outcomes.Utilize data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making processes to enhance the placement service's effectiveness and efficiency.Continuously iterate and refine placement strategies based on data analysis findings, ensuring ongoing optimization of the placement service to better meet the evolving needs of trainees and employers alike.Why this is a great job!You will be changing lives!  You will guide people in their job search toward a meaningful career that will provide economic prosperity.  Things you need to know about this job:This is a full-time, non-exempt position with regular hours Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, with some evening and weekend hours required. What youll bring to Albany Can Code: Extensive experience in successfully placi
