Job Description

One of our startup gaming/e-sports clients in Los Angeles is looking to bring on a Games Data Lead to manage a team of three Data Analysts, drive strategic direction, and contribute to product growth through driving data insights that add value. This position involves a 50/50 split in data strategy & analytics to data engineering & architecture development responsibilities.

Required Skills & Experience

- 6+ years of experience in data analytics and data engineering

- Strong demonstrated management/leadership experience (ideally in startup environments)

- Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL

- Proficiency in Tableau or Power BI

- In depth experience of data warehousing, ETL processes/builds, and cloud-based data solutions (ex. AWS, Azure, GCP)

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Well-versed in gaming (previous experience or a genuine passion/knowledge of the industry) or within activity tracking systems or applications (Google Fit, Strava)

- Experience with machine learning frameworks and techniques for data analysis

- Understanding of data privacy and security regulations (GDPR, CCPA) in the context of gaming data
