The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Henry Ford Health is seeking an additional physician for the section of Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy. Qualifications required include: advanced endoscopic training and proficiency in endoscopic ultrasound, ERCP, endoscopic mucosal resection, enteral stenting, and related therapeutic endoscopic procedures. The ideal candidate would be able to integrate into a high-volume practice as a full time therapeutic endoscopist managing tertiary and quaternary care level patients/procedures in both the outpatient setting as well as in the inpatient setting by rotating through a week-long consultative service with seven other full time therapeutic endoscopists. A specific and predetermined academic and clinical subspecialty is not required, but we encourage all of our physicians to identify an area or two of special interest that they can grow and own, with the remainder of the group supporting and helping to cultivate that interest.  We are a teaching institution and our team all contributes to the education of future generations of gastroenterologists and therapeutic endoscopists, and we train one advanced endoscopy fellow per year. We value the collaborative and supportive nature of our group and take pride in our collegiality not just with each other but with our colleagues in surgery, oncology, and other specialties. We have been growing steadily for many years and desire a team member who will participate in continued growth and expansion, both at our Detroit location as well as our satellites in West Bloomfield and Wyandotte.

The Division of Gastroenterology employs 47 physicians as well as 15 Advanced Practice Providers and provides outpatient clinic and endoscopy services at Henry Ford Hospital, Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital and 7 suburban satellites in Metro Detroit.  The Division provides additional inpatient consultative services at Henry Ford Hospital, Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital and Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital. The Division includes several subspecialty services including IBD, Hepatology, Liver and Intestinal Transplantation, Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy, Functional Bowel Disease and Motility.  Fellowship training for 15 category GI fellows as well as training in Advanced Therapeutics and Transplant Hepatology is provided.  The Division enjoys an active research portfolio with studies in a wide variety of GI, Hepatology and Transplant disorders.
