Amazon’s Grocery distributors team is seeking an exceptional Distributor Manager with experience in vendor management, supply chain management or inventory/business analysis for Amazon Fresh business. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer focused, team oriented, and will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. The person will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. This role will include a mix of long-term strategic projects and short-term tactical tasks.

Distributor Managers at Amazon own the distributor sourcing relationship across categories. Distributor Managers are responsible for continuously optimizing operational performance metrics, inventory health and and driving process automation. In this role, you will build strong partnerships with category management, merchandising and operations teams to drive toward common goals.


Key job responsibilities
-Leading distributor reviews and top-to-top connects, building annual plans with distributors, driving operational improvement through KPI compliance and process improvement
-Working closely with distributors operations to drive vendor compliance and build processes/SOP
-Analyzing inventory position to determine liability, determine exit strategy for unproductive inventory and drive FCF programs to reduce defects with distributors.
-Building long-term relationships, working on terms and engaging distributors’ participation in Amazon programs
-Identifying automation opportunities, improving non-automated processes, and building to scale. Influence technical teams to drive adoption of standards, manage inventory, inventory health, item-level forecasting, assortment planning
-Developing plans that drive revenue and margin improvement with distributors

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of with Excel experience
- 4+ years of supply chain, inventory management or project management experience
- Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of supply chain, inventory management or project management experience
- Experience working with complex data sets

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of the principles of statistical inventory control
- Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
- Experience with SQL

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
