Job Description:

Position: Process Engineer

Location: 240 Jay Begg Parkway, Lima, Ohio 45804

Job Type: Full-time

Pay Rate: $75,000 per year or more, depending on experience

Responsibilities:

1. Process Optimization:
   1. Analyze and evaluate existing machining processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness
   2. Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance overall manufacturing processes within the machine shop
2. Quality Assurance:
   1. Collaborate with quality control to ensure that machining processes meet or exceed print standards and customer specifications
3. Equipment Management:
   1. Work closely with maintenance and production teams to ensure that all machines are properly maintained
   2. Recommend and implement upgrades or replacements of machinery to improve overall efficiency
   3. Develop automation processes internally or with supply base for increased safety and efficiency
4. Documentation and Reporting:
   1. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all machining processes, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
   2. Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPls) to track and communicate process improvements
5. Training and Development:
   1. Provide training to machine operators and other relevant personnel on new processes, technologies, and best practices
   2. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting a learning environment within the machine shop
6. Collaboration:
   1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quoting, and quality control, to ensure the most efficient and effective processes are being utilized
7. Regulatory Compliance:

o    Stay updated on industry machines, tooling, and secondary processes, ensuring that the machine shop operations are utilizing current technology

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
• Experience in process engineering within a manufacturing or machine shop environment
• Proficient in CAD and CAM software along with other relevant engineering tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of machining processes, CNC programming, and tooling
