About the Job



The University of Minnesota's Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Adult Psychiatrist to fill an academic track (contract) position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The position consists of 0.7 clinical FTE in our Interventional inpatient Psychiatry Services, 0.2 FTE in outpatient and 0.10 FTE academic FTE for administrative, research and education activities.

The 0.7 clinical FTE will be to provide care within the Interventional Psychiatry services, including electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) at MHealth Fairview. The ideal candidate has previous experience and expertise in working with ECT evaluation and delivering of care. The 0.2 clinical FTE will be to provide TMS, ketamine and VNS services at University of Minnesota Physicians location in St. Louis Park and Riverside clinic.

This is a unique opportunity to combine delivery of care with research on effective outcomes and development of care delivery systems. This position includes exercising creativity in clinical care and clinical programming, and in teaching and supervising outstanding trainees. The successful applicant will join a multi-disciplinary team focused on advancing interventional psychiatry and an active and growing department of 72 highly collaborative and engaged faculty members. Qualifications



Required Qualifications:
* Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA Psychiatry residency training program.
* BC/BE with the ABMS
* Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
* Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
* Stimulation CME course in electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) training and clinical experience
* Experience with TMS or ketamine for psychiatric disorders is an added value
* Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
