Bachelor's degree completed in Psychology, Human Services, Social Work, or related field required.
Must have 2,000 hours of supervised Mental Health service delivery.
Must qualify as a Mental Health Practitioner.
Applicant should demonstrate a desire and willingness for additional ADC education and training. Applicant should have at least 30 hours of Crisis related trainings or must be willing to obtain upon hire.
ADC 111m Preferred.
Crisis Response Experience Strongly Preferred.

Ability to drive for prolonged periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. utilizing proper lifting techniques.

License/Certification Requirements: Valid MN Driver's License, current insurance or be insurable

Summary: Responsible for providing direct mental health, crisis services to Leech Lake Reservation community members and families. Duties include providing suicide prevention, assessments, intervention, critical incident debriefing, and outreach services. Additional tasks include providing culturally based crisis response services, crisis related trainings to staff and community members, providing appropriate follow ups with clients, and being able to identify and utilize tribal and community resources.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for coverage of regular work day crisis response when activated by LLBH crisis line or via walk-in crisis, throughout the reservation including normal business hours, this position will respond directly to location of Crisis clients.
Assess for both mental and chemical health related issues.
Report data and biweekly summaries relating to clients served and crisis situations.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, present client data and solicit recommendations.
Responsible for training Crisis Response Team members and Behavioral Health staff as necessary.
Attend and/or host community trainings, events, program promotion, outreach, and prevention efforts.
Must be familiar and comfortable with applying the Crisis Response protocols. Follow guidelines for response.
Appropriately follow up on Crisis events, clients, and service requests.
Facilitate and support client reintegration and healthy transitions back into homes, routines, and communities after Mental Health treatment, referrals, and/or placements.
Offer ongoing services to crisis clients including assessments, interventions, stabilization plans, treatment plans, case notes, crisis skills training, and documenting client progress as appropriate.
Be familiar with area resources for both chemical and mental health related services/programming and make timely referrals.
Appropriately refers clients to cultural resources, requests ceremonies, and encourages traditional healing practices. Ensure normal business hours crisis response is covered. This provider is responsible for contributing to dates and times scheduled in the crisis calendar for direct Crisis Response.
Document and maintain client participation and progress using current El-R (Preventive) system in a thorough and timely manner.
Knowledge and ability to complete timely third-party billing and documentation per Crisis Protocol and Minnesota State Statue requirements.
Attend and/or conduct all mandatory meetings and trainings as required.
Travel in and out of the state on a possibly regular basis.
Understanding and sensitivity to Native American culture.
Adhere to policies governing staff conduct.
Collaborates with Crisis Response Team members.
Active involvement in family, community, and school outreach, training, event programming, and forums.
Always maintain a high degree of confidentiality, professional ethics, & adhere to all applicable data privacy laws and in compliance with 1--11PAA.
Meet crisis caseload and productivity goals as appropriate.
Attend program activities outside of normal working hours, as necessary.
Meet deadlines and prioritize workload. Other duties as assigned.
