Starting Hourly Rate is $17.50 + $.50 shift differential Hours: Approximately 3pm-1pm Monday to Thursday (hours may vary and OT may be expected periodically) In this position, the primary responsibilities will be: Consistently model appropriate work skills; Positively provide training, support and coaching participants; Work closely with supervisor, or line lead to introduce natural supports and provide prompts and feedback as needed; Uphold and consistently follow program and licensing requirements; Maintain and model positive relationships; Demonstrate knowledge of disabilities of participants and the ability to provide quality service to them; Meet mandatory training requirements; Ensure compliance with work instructions and/or Quality Management System (QMS) procedures; Maintain a safe work environment for self and others including wearing mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; One year experience delivering supported employment services or direct care services required Able to work 2nd shift (3pm-1am, Monday-Thursday); Able to communicate effectively with program participants; Ability to read, write, recognize, understand and accomplish new assignments with only general instructions; Copes with emergency situations in a calm and efficient manager; Comfortable working in a fast paced, diverse team environment; Fully embrace MDI's mission to serve people with disabilities by offering inclusive employment opportunities and services; Consistently Demonstrates MDI's values of employee and customer first, positive attitude, respectful, do the right thing and employer individual ability; Satisfactory complete pre-employment requirements (criminal background check, Motor Vehicle record check, possess valid state-issued driver's license); Verify eligibility for employment in the United States Environment and Physical Demands: Work during non-traditional hours is periodically required; While performing the duties of this job, the Job Coach will be required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; speak and hear clearly. The noise level in the work environment varies low to high. The job requires the ability to walk, climb stairs, kneel, stoop, and may require employee to lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. The job may require extended periods of sitting or standing.
