Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or combined education and relevant experience
Two to three years' work experience in higher education administrative systems or other project management software.
Intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
Previous data management experience or ability to demonstrate logical thinking skills.
Ability to manage and implement complex policies and business processes, including making judgments independently regarding the accuracy of information/data and exercising discreet judgement and confidentiality.
Strong attention to detail required.
Ability to work well with all groups of people within the institutions, including participation in several administrative teams both internal and external.
Strong communication, writing, and editing skills.
Ability to serve as a key advisor to faculty and administration regarding the curriculum.
Ability to work independently and complete assignments with numerous interruptions. Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and time sensitive projects.
Physical Requirements:
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

Job Description:
The Registrar's Office at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), benefit eligible position of Assistant Registrar, Curriculum and Catalog Management.

This position is responsible for leadership and expertise in both the publishing of the Academic Catalog and in curriculum management. The Assistant Registrar is responsible for supervising the Degree Auditor and Academic Data Coordinator.

Responsibilities
Academic Catalog Management

Manages the Courseleaf (CAT) catalog software, which includes continual system maintenance, coordination of the annual catalog update, and collaboration with IT Services to ensure proper updates to the Banner student information system.
Communicates all information from faculty governance committees to ensure appropriate updates of academic programs needed for Degree Works graduation audits and 4-year educational planner.
Maintains course inventory of all college courses – both current and historic in the student database. This includes maintaining title, credit value, grading type, FTE, curriculum designations, valid terms, repeatability, etc.
Manage a catalog of study abroad courses from our direct enroll partner programs, including oversight of the complex course numbering structure and assignment of appropriate general education designations.
Curriculum Management
Maintain knowledge of leading practices in catalog content and production, curriculum management, course scheduling, documentation of academic policy and academic program management.
Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the Course Designation Database, which requires the review of all curriculum committee approvals and translating the appropriate data into this external tracking database. This includes understanding the general education requirements and the complex tracking of these requirements.
Compiles and updates historic record of guidelines, interpretations, exemptions of college degree requirements. This includes appropriate exemptions or substitutions by majors or minors as approved by any faculty governance committees.
Staff Supervision
Requires extensive collaboration and support of the Academic Data Coordinator position in creation of the class schedule through room scheduling, catalog management, and section updates.
Teamwork and collaboration with the Degree Auditor position to ensure that students planning to commence are up-to-date as possible in the Banner student information system to ensure accurate reporting and management of information in the degree tracking process.
Effectively supervise the Degree Auditor and Academic Data Coordinator; monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
General Office Duties
Provide regular and daily contact with students, faculty, and others seeking Registrar Offices services through walk-in, telephone, mail and e-mail inquiries.
As part of the Registrar’s team, this position assists with major projects related to the operations of the office at various times of the academic year, as the job duties allow. This may include working on holidays and for other office or institutional events such as Labor Day, end of term processing during the winter break, or Commencement.
