KLAS is looking to hire an outstanding editor to refine research-collected commentary for publication. Editors confirm that the verbal comments collected during research interviews are quality checked and ready to be published externally by ensuring the comments are grammatically correct, consistent with internal guidelines, and true to the speaker’s voice. The editor edits information focusing on the healthcare information technology industry and performs other duties related to editing and data processing.

Responsibilities:

  • Copyedit survey commentary while maintaining sufficient accuracy and efficiency metrics
  • Ensure that comments follow company style and adhere to internal guidelines
  • Participate in editing team meetings and trainings
Qualifications:
  • Editing major, minor, or formal certification is required
  • Extensive knowledge of copyediting rules
  • Strong familiarity with The Chicago Manual of Style
  • Ability to complete tasks on time and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills—ability to accept and give feedback
  • Natural curiosity and willingness to ask questions
  • Ability and desire to rapidly learn new and broad-reaching healthcare and technology-related concepts
  • Detail oriented and hardworking
  • Enthusiastic and open-minded in the face of change
  • Leadership skills and willingness to grow into other positions at KLAS (report writer, manager) strongly preferred

KLAS has a hybrid work policy to allow team members to work both remotely and in the office. This flexible approach provides team members with a balance between in-person collaboration and remote work autonomy. Hybrid work is defined as two full days expected in-office.
