Required Skills: | -Basic understanding of mechanical hardware, doors, and frames, preferred but not required -Good communication skills -Self-motivated and able to follow instructions -Basic experience or ability to learn to use hand tools (tape measure, hammer drill, power drill, circ. saw, etc) -Experience with computer software in a Windows/ Google based environment -Some weekday overnight travel may be necessary -Register for Unlicensed Minnesota Power Limited Technician (PLT) license -Favorable results from customer’s background check -Valid Driver’s License and favorable results from company background check including Motor Vehicle Record -Favorable results from a pre-employment drug screen & physical
Working Conditions Wide variety of customer job sites, exposed to all seasons of weather. Involves: bending, kneeling, squatting, push/pull and lifting up to 50 lbs on a regular basis and 100lbs+ occasionally.

Job Description: |
-Train with experienced Mechanical Technicians on installing, troubleshooting and repairing basic mechanical hardware, door and frames -Learn to accurately fill out daily work log -Check in and present overview of work with customer on site -Effectively transition to work independently on non- complex work orders -Attend internal and external training to increase product knowledge of the door and hardware industry -Maintain tools and equipment to ensure proper and safe working order -Travel to customer sites driving a company vehicle -Other duties as assigned
