Full Time, Day Shift, M-F 8A-8P; SAT/SUN 9A-5P; WEEKEND/ HOLIDAY ROTATION

We offer a team-oriented atmosphere across 4 locations.
Locations include: Louisville, Washington Square, North Canton & Jackson
This fast-paced atmosphere allows staff to broaden their scope of practice to include patient registration, patient intake/discharge, and patient education.
Imaging responsibilities include general imaging & walk-in appointments.
Hours of operation are:
Monday-Friday 8am-730pm, Weekends 9am-5pm
Weekend rotation is every 3rd weekend.
RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST PURPOSE OF POSITION
The primary purpose of the Radiologic Technologist (RT) is to provide clinical support of patient care, provide patient and family teaching and work cooperatively under the direction of the Urgent Care Providers (MD, APN, PA) in maintaining standards of care. The RT also maintains standards set forth by Aultman Radiologists and parameters set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
Performs the specific section procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical details.
Perform a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply the prescribed diagnostic imaging equipment for production of high-quality images.
Serves as a consultant in the area of radiology.
Perform clerical duties and register patients.
Use and general knowledge of office equipment.
Assist patients/family members with necessary demographic paperwork, insurance information as well as understanding the HIPPA policy.
Maintain office supplies.
Obtain necessary patient information to maintain the medical record(s) of patients.
Answer phone telephone calls, screen calls and relay messages to appropriate staff members by either orally, written, or per email. Use of proper telephone etiquette always is required.
Provide prompt customer service.
Greet visitors professionally and tactfully deal with public during all circumstances/situations.
Promote a smooth flow of patients through the office by supporting a calm, supportive environment.
Assist with follow-up calls to patients to relay test results, and survey patient's regarding their visit.
Adhere to infection control policy/procedures.
Adhere to a culture of safety environment for patients, visitors, and staff members.
Collects data to include vital signs, height, weight, current accurate medication list, and all pertinent information needed for the Urgent Care Provider to assess the patient.
Assists Urgent Care Providers with patient exams and procedures.
Performs in house testing when applicable: flu, strep, urinalysis, urine HCG, and glucose testing. Collects and labels specimens correctly according to policy
Prioritizes daily tasks.
Exhibits flexibility with willingness to work any schedule as indicated.
Performs quality controls daily, if applicable.
Provides appropriate documentation in patient's chart.
Reinforces/facilitates education pertaining to radiology imaging.
Notifies appropriate personnel immediately of abnormal test results.
Completes annual required competency and education.
Performs any other duties as assigned under the direction of the Urgent Care Provider.
Seeks supervisory guidance/approval as appropriate.
Portrays professional image follows dress code; communicates with internal and external customers in a professional manner, including appropriate verbal and written grammar.
Promotes and demonstrates professional standards to enhance the development of the department including:
Performs all job functions in an independent manner (as needed or directed)
Recognizes and performs job functions with little or no supervision
Demonstrates strong organizational skills
Responds positively to change in workflow as needed
Aids co-workers (as needed)
Maintains flexibility to meet department needs, including adjusting work hours
Consistently completes assigned work in required time frame; completes other duties as required
Collaborates and cooperates with co-workers, supervisors, etc., creating a productive working relationship throughout the organization
Actively seeks and pursues opportunities to contribute and demonstrates desire for learning
Practices Ethical Conduct:
Demonstrates honesty and integrity in all functions and relationships
Maintains standards of confidentiality, including HIPAA privacy guidelines
Always complies with policies and procedures
Meets acceptable attendance and punctuality expectations (excluding FMLA)

Radiologic Technologist Job Requirements
Education: High School graduate or higher level of education.
Satisfactory completion of an accredited college and meets the requirements for registry by the ARRT.
Must be certified by the ARRT.
Demonstrates ability to perform radiologic exams effectively and independently.
Must have current BLS.
Demonstrates ability to understand and utilize computer systems.
Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills/communication.
Function independently, have flexibility, and ability to work with all levels of personnel.
Demonstrates professional conduct in the clinical setting.

RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST WORKING CONDITIONS:
Based on the demands of scheduling, location of worked hours subject to change to meet staffing demands.
Bending/lifting/sitting/standing/moving about intermittently during working hours.
Subject to frequent interruptions and changes in priority of duties throughout the day.
Possible exposure to ionizing radiation.
Work under the direction of the Urgent Care Providers (MD, APN, PA).
Daily computer use.
Expected to adhere to policies and procedures.
Expected to fulfill position description requirements.
Works with highly confidential data and situations; maintain HIPPA.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS ADDENDUM
PURPOSE: To identify specific functions job requirements and work environment factors that could affect job performance.
O = Occasionally = 0- 33% of the work shift or 0- 32 repetitions.
F = Frequently = 34-66% of the work shift or 32-200+ repetitions.
C = Constantly = 67-100% of the work shift or 200+ repetitions.
N = Not essential job requirement.
