In this role, candidates will lead the management of risk for up to two Technology Executives by partnering with the leadership and their teams to apply subject matter expertise to support a culture of risk identification, escalation and timely mitigation of compliance and operational risks. Candidates will be responsible to solve problems analytically by applying a mixture of risk and technology expertise to perform impact assessments, identify root causes in support of the technology control activities, and drive risk reduction in the respective technology teams. They will be responsible to monitor the health of audit issues through their lifecycle, including action plan development and validation through approval reviews. The role requires strong communication and leadership skills, candidates are required to drive collaboration with teammates across organizations (Technology, Operations, Audit, GIS etc.) and with the management team to identify opportunities to improve control and reduce risk.

* 5 years of risk mgmt. or related field (have seen a lot of audit specific resumes and though there are some audit components but it is very focused around risk identification, managing controls, metrics mgmt., and being able to clearly identify issues or risks within the technology organization- articulate both verbally and
* Understand the controls that must be implemented and control gaps and what needs to be implemented AGAINST THE GAPS AND REMEDIATED
* Works closely with the technology team- don't need to be a SME but wants someone with a technology background or strong risk background working with technology and understand the basics and can document the complexity of the technology.
* Strong communication skills- works closely with senior execs in tech, audit, compliance, QA teams- highly collaborative role
* Self-starter and self-learner, driven.
* Very specific on how they document processes, and they have tools for that
* Metrics- identify issues and gaps, on back end- ensure that the technology team is in good health by being able to monitor metrics, controls performance, being proactive and partnership with teams
* Risk assessments- working again with the SME's and document a risk assessment where you clearly identify a horizontal team and what the gaps will be and working on some proposed controls as well as mitigation plans
